unpaved:
impressions of a home lost
Home is the primary connection between ourselves and the rest of the world. Our lives can be mapped by the places we have laid down roots and shaped by the process of being unrooted either forcibly or by happenstance.
unpaved, choreographed by artistic director Scarlett Wynne, explores the emotional and physical response connected to a loss of home by depicting the journey of two individuals searching for belonging without a clear point of reference. vagabondance desires for unpaved to encourage questioning and reminiscing of our personal connection to home and the reasoning behind its significance.
